CHICAGO, IL- This week marks the return of Metro footy to Chicago's magnificent shoreline as the Piranhas get to take another shot at runaway flag favorites, the bustling Tigers of Lincoln Square.

Magnificent in their perfect season thus far, the Tigers certainly got a scare last game as Forte and the Rhinos took it right up to them, losing by under a straight kick in what was the game of the season thus far. The Tigers were a tad undermanned for that one and it will be interesting to see who lobs for the black and yellow this friday in the moist Chicago heat that it rolling in off the plains.

CHICAGO, IL- Led by the biggest heartbreaker of them all in Brian "I haven't had a beer since April" Hoyt, the LS Tigers overcame an early 4 goal deficit to defeat the Rhinos by 4 lousy points in easily the best game of the year thus far.

CHICAGO, IL- The Rhinos are this weeks dish to be served up to the irresistable Tigers whose opening to the 2010 Metro season has been nothing short of barnstorming. With a line up that could beat most teams in the US, the Tigers look to be too big, too strong and too good for the young, inexperienced Rhinos.

CHICAGO, IL- The Piranhas of Lincoln Park were able to hold off a determined Wrigleyville Rhino outfit in a great game of Australian Football punctuated by moments of sheer class from the Irish recruits that have bolstered the Piranha ranks making them a force to be reckoned with as Metro progresses.

The Rhinos won the toss and kicked with a 2 goal breeze in their back on a day not conducive to quality football as said breeze, blowing towards the Milwaukee end was a swirling, twirling dervish that befuddled the inexperienced and tormented the elder statesmen of Chicago Footy. Despite this advantage, it was the Piranhas that hit the ground running and they were able to jump all over the fellas from Boystown. Within a minute, the little Irish pest in McKeegan had broken his John Scher tag and goaled in traffic to start the beads of cold sweat trickling down the Rhino backs.
